SignAvatar is a Serbian startup founded in 2023, dedicated to developing AI software that automatically translates speech into sign language. Their main product, TransportSign, enables audio announcements at airports and train stations to be displayed in sign language on screens placed at appropriate locations, thereby improving accessibility for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals. 

This technology has already been tested at Nikola Tesla Airport in Belgrade and Belgrade’s Main Railway Station. SignAvatar plans to expand into the markets of Western Europe and the USA, with the goal of enhancing inclusivity and communication for people with hearing impairments.
